Louis Bernard Cohen Found Dead At Home

Louis Bernard Cohen, Memphis businessman, died early Monday Morning at his home after being ill for several years, suffering from high blood pressure.

Mr. Cohen was 59 years of age. He and his brother, Harry Cohen, owned and operated Cohen’s Loan Office, 144 Beale. He was a lifelong Memphian, member of Anshei Sphard Congregation and a Mason.

Surviving besides his brother are his wife, Mrs. Belle Cohen, of Memphis, three daughters, Mrs. Jerome Cohen, of Chicago; Mrs. Kalman Treiman, of San Antonio and Mrs. Sam Goldberg, of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Feldman, and Mrs. Bertha Lerner, of Memphis, and another brother, Ralph Cohen, of Dickinson, Texas.

Services were held Wednesday morning at Abraham Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Baron Hirsch Cemetery.
