Mrs. Rose Davis Answers Summons
Mrs. Rose Davis,
Memphian for many years, died January 2 at B’nai B’rith Home and Hospital,
following a lengthy illness.
Services were held
Tuesday morning with Rabbi Isadore Goodman
officiating. Interment was in Baron Hirsch
Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was born
in England 82 years ago and
moved from London to Memphis about 40 years ago. She was a member of Baron Hirsch Congregation
and before her illness had worked in synagogue groups.
Surviving are her
two sons, Dr. H. M. Davis, of Atlanta, and Jack
Davis, of Memphis;
three daughters, Mrs. Dora Peltz, Mrs. Max Polansky, and Mrs. Morris Panitz.
