William Epstein Succumbs
William Epstein,
who had been ill for the past two years, died Monday evening, November 22, at Baptist Hospital. Mr. Epstein was born in Russia 67 years ago and came to the United States more than fifty years ago, living
at Lake Village, Ark.,
before moving to Memphis
45 years ago.
He made his home at
161 N. Montgomery. He was a member of Baron Hirsch Congregation
and Memphis Zionist District.
Surviving are his
wife, Mrs. Belle Lubin Epstein; two sons, Maynard and
Arthur Epstein, all of Memphis; three daughters,
Mrs. I. B. Baruchman and Mrs. Irwin Ravinett, of Memphis, and
Mrs. Harry Berchenko, of Columbus, Ga.;
one sister, Mrs. Bertha Marx of Studio City, Cal., and eight grandchildren.
Services were held
from the residence on Tuesday, with Rabbi Isadore
Goodman officiating. Interment was in Baron Hirsch
Cemetery.
