Ben Fain Rites Held
Former Memphian Dies At Age Of 62
Services for Ben
Fain of Tyler, Texas,
a former Memphian who died at 6:25 a.m. Sunday at Baptist
Hospital after a three-month illness,
were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Sam Abraham Memorial Chapel in Baron Hirsch
Cemetery. Rabbi Isadore
Goodman officiated.
Mr. Fain, son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Fain of Memphis, was
manager of a ladies’ apparel store at Tyler
for 33 years. He was 62.
Mr. Fain attended
the old market Street School in Memphis and
served in the Army during World War I before moving to Texas.
He was a Shriner and a member of the Elks Club
and the American Legion.
He leaves his wife,
Mrs. Fain; a brother, Morris Fain of 828 North Trezevant,
and a sister, Mrs. Sophia Drucker of 351 North Cleveland.
