Jacob Gordon Succumbs

Jacob Gordon, who operated a dry goods store in Fort Smith, Ark., for many years before his retirement about seven years ago when he moved to Memphis, died at his home 572 Stanley Drive, after an illness of seven months.

Mr. Gordon was born in Russia 65 years ago. He was a member of Beth El Emeth Congregation and B’nai B’rith.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida Gordon, of Memphis; a son, Morris Gordon, of Fort Smith; a daughter, Mrs. Shelby Friedman, of Dallas, and a brother, Nathan Gordon, of Fort Smith.

Services and interment were in Fort Smith.
