M. M. Gordon Dies
Meyer Monroe
Gordon, owner of M. M. Gordon Jewelry Co., passed away last Tuesday at his
office at 81 Madison Building, after an illness of two years.
Mr. Gordon was
widely known among jewelers and had owned his own business for the past ten
years. He was 67 years old. His home was at 1855 Poplar.
Dr. James A Wax
officiated at services held Wednesday.
Interment was in Temple
Israel Cemetery.
Surviving are his
wife, Mrs. Ida M. Gordon, of Memphis; his son,
William Bennett Gordon, of Cleveland, Ohio; his mother, Mrs. Rebecca Gordon, of Memphis; two brothers, Gordon I. Gordon, of Memphis and Leon Gordon, of Chester, Pa.,
two sisters, Mrs. A. Amdusky and Mrs. H. Lieberman,
of Portsmouth, Va., and two grandchildren, William Bennett Gordon, Jr. and
Christine Gordon, both of Phoenix Ariz.
