Gertrude Loket Halpert
Former Memphian, Dies In Albuquerque
Mrs. Gertrude Loket Halpert, of Albuquerque, N. M., formerly of Memphis,
died Wednesday in Albuquerque
following an illness of two years.
Mrs. Halpert was born in Memphis
43 years ago. She was a graduate of Central High School
and a member of Baron Hirsch Congregation, Memphis.
She made her home in Washington,
where her husband, Albert Halpert, is manager of a
clothing store, living there about six years.
She returned to Memphis for a short time
before moving to Albuquerque
for her health.
Surviving are her
husband; her mother, Mrs. Max Loket; three sisters, Mrs. S. H. Davidson,
Mrs. Morris Faine and Mrs. Max Lasser,
all of Memphis; and two brothers, Harry S. Loket, of Memphis and Herman
M. Loket, of Little
Rock, Ark.
Services were held
Sunday morning at Abraham Memorial Chapel with Rabbi Isadore
Goodman, Rabbi David Skopp and Cantor M. I. Levin
officiating. Interment was in Baron Hirsch
Cemetery.
