Joseph Hausman Answers Final Call
Joseph C. Hausman, who had been in ill health for several years, died
Thursday after he was stricken with a heart attack at the Sugar Bowl game, held
in New Orleans. He was taken to Baptist Hospital
in New Orleans
and died there.
Mr. Hausman, who lived at 1855 North Rainbow Drive, was formerly a
buyer for the cotton firm of F. M. Crump & Company, Memphis.
Mr. Hausman went to New
Orleans to see the Navy-Mississippi game and to join
his wife and daughter for the New Year’s Weekend.
Mrs. Hausman was visiting their daughter, Mrs. Jake Buring, who with Mr. Buring and
their family had moved to New Orleans from their
former home in Memphis.
Mr. Hausman was 57 years of age. Besides his wife and daughter, he is survived
by his sister, Mrs. I. Loewenberg, of St.
Louis, Mo., and three
grandchildren.
Services were held
Monday afternoon in Memphis
with Dr. James A. Wax officiating.
Interment was in Temple
Israel Cemetery.
