Jennie Levy Johan Succumbs

Mrs. Jennie Levy Johan, widow of S. Robert Johan who died many years ago, died Friday evening at Baptist Hospital following a heart attack. Mrs. Johan made her home at Parkview Hotel.

Mrs. Jonap was born in Hartford, Conn., 89 years ago and came to Memphis in 1909.

She is survived by her two daughers, Mrs. Gilbert Schloss of Whitehaven, Tenn., and Mrs. William Leeker, of Carpinteria, Calif.; her sister, Mrs. Max Sondheimer, of Memphis, and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Sunday morning with Dr. James A. Wax officiating. Interment was in Temple Israel Cemetery.
