Gertrude M. Kornfeld

Services for Gertrude M. Kornfeld will be at 2 p.m. today at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home.

Ms. Kornfeld, 88, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

She was born Feb. 22, 1921 to Louis and Bertha Medoff. She was a merchant for Kornfeld’s department store for many years.

She is survived by a son, Murray Kornfeld of Greenwood; two daughters, Susan Hillner of Chattanooga, Tenn.,
and Wendy Simmons of Madison, Ala.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Holloway, Brent Lavers, William Hillner, Loren Simmons, Jason Hillner, and Johnny Ballas.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Ahavath Rayim Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Ahavath Rayim Synagogue in Greenwood.
