JACOB SACK

Master Jake Sack, the bright little son of Mr. and Mrs. Ike Sack, who a few days ago fell from the roof of a small building and broke his arm, is doing well.  Jake has borne his sufferings like a little man, and is now going to school, carrying his right arm in a sling, but keeping up with his studies just the same.

A Sad Death

After an illness of a few days with appendicitis Master Jacob H. Sack, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Sack, breathed his last at 9:30 o’clock Wednesday evening, September 13th.

But a few hours before the final summons came, the bright boy had called for the illustrated sheets of the newspapers and enjoyed them for a time.  Late in the afternoon, however, the change for the worse came and at 9:30, the bright active, hopeful youth of a few days before was pronounced dead.

The deceased was one of the most energetic and reliable boys of the city of Greenville.  He was a good student at the school and when vacation days arrived he always kept busy doing something.  He was apparently destined for an active business career, but the Grim Reaper arrived and claimed the promising boy as his own.

For the devoted mother who has so tenderly nursed and guided the footsteps of her boy since his birth and watched with such an anxious heart at his bedside since his last attack of illness, our heart bleeds; to the kind and indulgent father, and the brothers and sister we extend our deepest feelings of sympathy.  At 4:30 this afternoon the remains were interred in the Jewish cemetery;  the funeral from the residence at 403 Central Avenue.

A Card of Thanks

We take this method of extending our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the kind people of the city for many kindnesses shown during the last illness of our son, Jacob, and especially to the ladies who were so thoughtful in arranging every detail for the funeral and so considerate in every way.

Gratefully,

Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Sack
