Jake Shainberg Succumbs

Jake Shainberg, Memphian and father of three Memphians, died February 23 at Los Angeles, Calif.

Mr. Shainberg made his home at Tennessee Hotel. He was 83 years of age and had been in the mercantile business in Memphis for many years.

Surviving are his two sons, Abe and Maurice Shainberg and his daughter, Mrs. Harry Kabakoff, all of Memphis; and two daughters, Mrs. H. L. Bearman, of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Fred Freid of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a son, Mendel Shainberg, of Nashville, Tenn.; his sisters Mrs. Harry Orlansky, and Mrs. Max Feinstein, of Memphis; and his brother Sam Shainberg, of Memphis.

Rabbi Isadore Goodman, officiated at services held Friday. Interment was in Baron Hirsch Cemetery.
