Services For Siegmans
Killed In Accident
Joint services were
held for Meyer Seigman and his sister-in-law, Mrs.
Esther Siegman, victims of a traffic accident
Wednesday evening.
Dr. James A. Wax
officiated at services held Friday.
Interment was in Temple
Israel Cemetery.
Mr. Siegman, a 78 year old bachelor, was a lifelong
Memphian. He and his brother, the late
Abe Siegman, ran a mercantile business on South Main for many years before Abe’s death in 1946.
Mrs. Siegman, who was also 78, was a lifelong Memphian, widow of
Abe Siegman.
Surviving are three daughters, Miss Selma Siegman
with whom she lived, and Miss Dora Siegman, of Memphis and Mrs. Leon Oppenheimer, of Vincennes,
Ind.; two sons, Leon and Harry Siegman, of Memphis;
seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
