Mrs. Etta Sternberg Cohn Succumbs
Mrs. Etta Sternberg
Cohn, widow of Isadore Cohn, former salesman, who
died in 1933, died Wednesday evening, December 7 at Baptist Hospital,
after a brief illness.
Mrs. Cohn was born
in Savannah, Ga.,
74 years ago and had made her home in Memphis
for the past 35 years.
She was a member of
Temple Israel.
She lived at 289 N. Watkins. Mrs.
Cohn was a member of DAR, having been a descendent of a Revolutionary War Army
colonel.
Surviving are her
son by a former marriage, Albert Bennette; a sister,
Mrs. Lester I. Goldsmith, and three grandchildren, John Albert Cohn, Albert B.
Cohn, Jr., and Linda D. Cohn, all of Memphis.
Rabbi James A. Wax
officiated at services held Friday morning.
Interment was in Temple
Israel Cemetery.
