Mrs. Dave Weiss Succumbs
Mrs. Eva Wasserman
Weiss, wife of Dave Weiss, of 412 North Claybrook,
formerly of Tunica, Miss., died Friday at her home following an illness of a
week.
Mrs. Weiss was born
in St. Louis
and lived 40 years at Tunica before moving here. Her husband owned a general merchandise store
in Tunica, until his retirement six months ago when he moved to Memphis.
Besides her
husband, she is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Sam Tauber,
of Memphis; a brother, Sam Wasserman, of Tunica;
a sister, Mrs. Bessie Oberman, of Springfield, Ill.,
and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Weiss was a
member of Temple Israel and the Auxiliary of Veterans of
Foreign Wars and B’nai B’rith Women. She
was active in charity work.
Dr. James A. Wax
officiated at services held Sunday.
Interment was in Temple
Israel Cemetery.
